LATIN AMERICAN-BASED NONFOR-PROFIT

Upon evaluating how we, as an organization, could put forth our uttermost efforts to recognize hardship faced by the Latin American/Hispanic Community, alongside acknowledge all of the triumph that has been established on said individuals behalves in spite of prejudice, bias, or discrimination, redefycalifornia established a few ways with which the entire community can be commemorated on an interglobal level. Below we have listed the two methods that we chose in order to honor said group; make sure to refer to them, in order to understand what YOU can do to get involved!

   Hispanic Heritage Month

(1): Article regarding the success/triumphs amidst hardship faced on behalf of the Latin(x) community
In honor of Latin American Heritage Month, airing September 15th and ending October 15th, Redefy California created a questionnaire that surveys both the struggles/hardships and triumphs either faced or made on behalf of the Latin American community. These accounts--be it anonymous or name-attached--will be included in an article, in order to highlight the ascendancy of Latin American battles for equality (throughout history), as well as the underlying hardship and difficulties that have posed as barrier for said equality on behalf of the Latin American demographic.

  • If you choose to get involved and answer the questionnaire (link will be down below), please note that you DO NOT have to be a part of the Latin American/Hispanic community. Simply contest to the questions whole-heartedly, and try to recall what you have witnessed around you regarding hardship (you) or your loved ones, friends, family members, (etc) have faced as a result of their cultural ties, and how they overcame said hardship/difficulty.

  • You can choose whether or not you want your name to be included in the article after you have completed the survey. Either choice does not hinder or affect the turn-out of the article in anyway, so if you feel the slightest bit hesitant about including your name, feel free to select the "no" button under said dedicated question!

(2) Partnering With Paralosninos (Donation(s))

Para Los Ninos is an organization that serves the Latin(x) demographic throughout all of Los Angeles (spanning from ages one to twenty four), allowing said individuals who may be at a disadvantage (financially) access to a proper education and space to seek solace within, in order to learn, communicate, make friends, and often score their first job or attend college. According to the official Parlosninos website, they can always utilize packaged goods, or money in lou of fundraising for the benefit of the children within the program. Besides setting up donation drives--which is something we plan to do in the near future-- monetary donations throughout the month(s) of September and October would serve perfectly, in order to commemorate the Latin American community (by contributing to an organization that aids said individuals). Below, you will find a link to the direct donation page. If you would like to be recognized for your charity on behalf of redefycalifornia, please verify your donation with a picture (of what you have contributed), and email said photo to redefycalifornia@gmail.com
