Our Mission
@/Redefycalifornia is an outlet for the current generation of teens (specifically from, but not limited to California) who are in search of affecting change, or striving for the elimination of stigma. This outlet is a chapter of the official non-profit--Redefy--and branches the efforts of the executive platform outward, allowing for more change to be affected and further demographics to be reached. Whether it be through panels/events, journalism/prose projects, or advertisement, our efforts shed light upon issues that may have been swept under the rug. It is imperative that we, as the present-generation of teenagers, act as the spokesperson(s) for change, in order to pave the way for previous and forthcoming generations. It is in the hands of our own, that we continue to "defy" the common narrative and establish equality for all distinguishable demographics.
"We acknowledge our differences though understand that we, as women, all fall beneath one cloak of unity, grappling for change and equality at the feet of our battle with common stigma and deep-rooted stereotypes fueled by common patriarchal thought."
"The term love poses as shoulder to lean on, a perspective-lense for understanding, a common ground for nurture, and most importantly, a naked eye for connection. A term that is ambiguous in regards to culture and gender; LOVE is LOVE, a layer that blankets all communities regardless of their identity, and embellishes each and every couple who falls beneath said term."
"Although there is no definitive ending in sight, we shall continue to cooperate to all regulations for the benefit and safety of ourselves, and our community. It is imperative that we remain aware of varying statistics--as they are often unpredictable--and utilize such as fuel to wear our masks, and respect the regulations relative to the coronavirus, regardless of whether or not we are vaccinated."
